We aim to make Ataur.in usable with keyboards, screen readers and small screens, working towards WCAG 2.2 AA.

Available features

The new homepage includes a skip link, semantic headings, visible keyboard focus, an accessible menu and a language button. Forms use labels and error messages. Motion respects reduced-motion preferences. Public status updates contain text rather than information conveyed only by colour.

Known limitations

The homepage offers Assamese and English; existing service forms and administration remain primarily Assamese. The Assamese wording needs a fluent editorial review. Automated checks do not establish full accessibility conformance. Screen-reader, mobile device and Turnstile accessibility testing remain release requirements.
